NC Afterschool Staff Competencies Now Available!
The North Carolina Afterschool Professional Development Work Group recently released tiered staff competencies for afterschool providers, following an extensive two-year development process. The competencies are modeled after leading national examples, including the National Afterschool Association, US Military School-Age Competencies, and the Kansas/Missouri Statewide Afterschool Networks. The competencies focus on eight content areas that provide a framework of the knowledge and skills needed for professional development in the field of afterschool care.
